In Conan the Barbarian...apparently!
Professional wrestlers have been appearing in movies for many years, sometimes so fast you may not have even noticed them. They usually have brief cameos, often uncredited – the late Andre the Giant appeared in Conan the Barbarian, for example. I don’t recall his presence myself and I’ve seen the movie quite a few times, but nevertheless, he was there.
Over recent years, however, the professional wrestler has move from mat to celluloid in a supporting or lead actor role…with mixed success. And I use the term ‘success’ as loosely as possible!
In no particular order, here are a few wrestling superstars that have appeared, sometimes surprisingly, on the big screen.
